I had two paintings accepted into the Northwest Pastel Society 2025 Open International Exhibition, juried by Barbara Jaenicke. The show is in Edmonds, Washington at Cole Gallery and includes 70 amazing pastels.

There’s a reception the afternoon of May 10, 3–6 pm, I plan to be there. This exhibition will be up through June 2, so if you’re in the Seattle area try to catch it.

June-July 2025: The 2025 Northwest Lavender Paint Out

I’ll participate in the Lavender Paint Out again this year, if I accomplish some paintings that warrant framing I’ll put them in the Lavender Festival Show that will be on display July 12-13th at the Chehalem Cultural Center in Newberg, Oregon. At the very least I’ll enjoy time at some lavender farms, and create paintings that will serve as great references for studio paintings. This festival is well worth the trip to Newberg — the gallery of lavender farm paintings is always fun to view, and the festival is filled with lavender-related booths — great to browse, shop and taste.

Chehalem Cultural Center, 415 E Sheridan Street, Newberg, Oregon

An Opening Artist Reception and Concert is July 11, the show will continue through July 13.

September 2025: Northwest Pastel Society Member Show, Hood River, Oregon

I plan to have a painting in the NPS member show as well. It will be held at Columbia Center for the Arts in Hood River, Oregon. The show runs September 5–28, with a reception on the 5th at 5 pm.

October 2025: Portland Open Studios 2025 — 2 weekends
October 11–12, and October 18–19

I was juried into Portland Open Studios this year! I participated in 2021 and really enjoyed it, I hope we luck out with weather again this year. I will set up outdoors, at least mostly. I’ll have a couple easels up so visitors can try painting with pastels and various papers, with me there to show the ropes. I will also have paintings displayed (and for sale) as well as greeting cards and probably some other items.
